"Merchant's Era Lodge Kaikonro Gate of Time" is a unique inn located along the old Hokoku Highway in Komoro City, standing for 100 years. It is the only lodging in the world where you can stay in a zashikirou, attached to the nationally registered tangible cultural property "Former Yamazaki Chohei Store (now Aramachi The GATE)." Built in the late Taisho era, this Western-style store and residence (merchant architecture, signboard architecture) showcases the prosperity of its time with luxurious design, offering an experiential stay concept of "living like a local." Over the course of about 100 years, the building has been renovated several times, creating a maze-like interior adorned with decor and playful merchant touches of Taisho era romance, where you can relax and enjoy a safe stay. [Important Notes] During your stay, staff including night guards will always be on-site for your peace of mind. Many of the facilities inside the building still use original equipment from the time. Please note that some items may be inconvenient to use. This plan is "room only," so no meals are provided, but there are popular restaurants nearby. We recommend making a reservation in advance. If your group consists of 8 or more people, the space may become quite cramped, so please consult with us separately. Since our facility is a multi-purpose complex consisting of accommodations, dining, rental spaces, etc., other users may visit other facilities within the premises during your stay. Please note that there will be no access to the accommodation building. Guests arriving by car are requested to use the shared parking lot located about a 2-minute walk away.
