Can I rent a car as a beginner (less than a year after getting my driver's license)?
There are no restrictions on the number of years a driver's license can be obtained, so even beginners can rent a car as long as they have a valid driver's license. We have also established a large compensation system to ensure that even novice car renters can use our cars with peace of mind.
What do I need to rent a car?
On the day of use, please bring the driver's license and payment (credit card in principle) for all drivers. If you have a discount card, please present it as well. As a general rule, please pay with a credit card affiliated with our company. When paying in cash, you will need to present a document that can verify your identity (a copy is acceptable) in addition to your driver's license. If you come to the store without an appointment, payment must be made by credit card.
Can I rent a car with an international driver's license?
Yes, you can. You must have an international driver's license (*) or a driver's license of your country and its official Japanese translation. In either case, you will need to present your passport at the store. If you are using the Automated Gate for entry and exit, please notify the staff when you pass through the gate to obtain an entry/exit stamp (landing permission seal). If you do not have a stamp (landing permission seal) in your passport, you will not be able to rent a passport because the date of return/re-landing cannot be confirmed. *When the country of issue on the international driver's license differs from the country of issue on the passport, the travel history of the customer's passport may be checked at the counter. If we are unable to verify that the customer has obtained an international driver's license from an authorized agency in the issuing country, or if we are unable to verify the validity of the customer's international driver's license, we will not be able to rent a driver's license.
May someone other than the person making the reservation (applicant) drive the car?
No problem. However, since all drivers are required to present their driver's license on the day of departure, please present the driver's license of all drivers at the store. If one of the drivers is unable to come to the store on the day of departure, please prepare a copy of the driver's license (front and back) in advance and present it at the store. Please make sure that the copy of the driver's license is an equal-size copy and that the information on the driver's license is clearly shown on the copy. We will not be able to accept a copy of your driver's license if it is sent by fax or e-mail before or after your departure.
What is simple cleaning?
Vehicles are rented with cleaning omitting exterior cleaning (car wash). Wiping up and sterilization and space sterilization are performed using a cleaning agent with sterilizing effects, focusing on areas easily touched by hands.
