Savor Hida beef, fresh river fish, Gohei-mochi rice cakes, and local vegetables featured in the sunken hearth-cooked cuisine. The atmosphere of the Warring States period can be felt at this inn. Check out the bounty of the mountains in fall, Matsutake mushrooms.
Thank you for visiting Iwamura Sanso's page. We are an inn located at the foot of the ruins of Iwamura Castle, one of the three great mountain castles in Japan. In addition to Iwamura Castle surrounded by nature, Iwamura Town also has a castle town with an old townscape. It's fun to take the Akechi Railway that runs through the mountains, and cars are also welcome (there is a large parking lot for free). ◎For dinner, we sit around the traditional Japanese hearth and grill and eat Hida beef, local pork, local chicken, river fish, vegetables, etc. (also known as samurai cuisine). *The last time dinner starts is 6:00 p.m. ◎For breakfast, we have healthy Japanese food. *Breakfast is at 8:00 a.m. Please contact us if this is not convenient for you. ◎The bath is a radium hot spring that can be used 24 hours a day. There are no baths or toilets in the rooms. They are shared. ◎We do not have staff who can speak languages other than Japanese, but we will do our best to communicate with you using Google Translate. Until now, we have not accepted foreigners, but from now on we will accept reservations. We would be happy if we could be a page in your travel memories. ◎ For those using the Akechi Railway: We will pick you up at Iwamura Station if you arrive there between 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, and 17:00. Reservations are required. (You can also pick up your luggage only.)
