Kasumi crab", which is "good-sized and high-quality" and accounts for less than 10% of the total landed crab, from the "fresh crab" that can only be obtained from a day trip fishing trip. The fishing grounds for Kasumi crab are located in the deep seas of the Sea of Japan, off the coast of Kasumi, at depths of over 1,000m. Crabs bred in deep waters are sweeter and tend to be of high quality.
