Established over 100 years ago In July 2020, the hotel was hit by the Kumamoto heavy rains, and the 100-year-old main house, annex, and hot spring building were all completely destroyed. After two years and nine months since the heavy rain disaster, everything has been renewed, and in April 2023, the new facility was grandly opened. Nothing has changed since before... The main building is arranged around the spring water pond, which was one of Kumamoto Prefecture's 100 best waters of the Heisei era and was the only one that remained after the disaster on the approximately 6,690m2 site. The annex continues beyond the new corridor that leads from the main building. For meals, you can enjoy seasonal mountain village cuisine that is typical of Hitoyoshi Kuma, made with carefully selected ingredients. At the same time, the hot spring source was newly excavated, and we succeeded in securing an abundant amount of water and temperature. Please enjoy the mellow 100% natural hot spring water without heating or adding water.
