[A relaxing inn with a history: Room only plan] A simple room only plan without meals. After relaxing and soothing your daily fatigue by soaking in the high-quality hot spring water that flows directly from the source, please spend a relaxing time in a soothing Japanese space. ■Guest rooms All of our guest rooms are different in structure and decoration, and no two are the same. All of our rooms are equipped with facilities to ensure a comfortable stay while cherishing the relaxing atmosphere that only wooden buildings can provide. Please relax and unwind in a tasteful space that has retained the elaborate structure from 100 years ago. ■Hot springs (bathhouse/private bath) Hitoyoshi Onsen is a hot spring area blessed with rich nature such as the Kyushu Mountains and the Kuma River. Our hot springs are 100% natural hot springs that flow directly from the source without heating or circulation, and are slightly alkaline carbonated springs that contain a little salt. The clear, colorless spring water leaves your skin smooth and moisturized after a bath. From the open-air bath, you can enjoy the seasonal scenery of nature, from the autumn leaves to the spring cherry blossoms. ■Facilities The main building, annex, living room, and staff building of our inn are precious wooden Japanese-style inns that tell the history of Hitoyoshi Onsen, and were registered as "National Registered Tangible Cultural Properties" in 2013. The interior of the inn, which still retains the appearance of the time when it was loved by many literary figures and important people, coexists with a romantic, extraordinary feeling that makes you feel as if you have traveled back in time, and a relaxing atmosphere like visiting your grandparents' house as a child. The magnificent courtyard garden, which is said to have been originally created by the gardener employed by the Sagara clan, is also a must-see. ■Area information ・National treasure Aoi Aso Shrine, 5 minutes on foot from the hotel ・Hitoyoshi Castle ruins, 15 minutes on foot from the hotel ・Kuma River boating/rafting, 20 minutes on foot from the hotel ・Shochu brewery tour, 5 minutes on foot from the hotel ■Access By car: 6 minutes from Hitoyoshi Interchange. By train: Due to the heavy rains of July 2020, the Kumamoto-Hitoyoshi section is currently suspended. ■Notes ・An additional bathing tax of 150 yen will be charged on site. ・Meals are not included.

Enjoy seasonal dishes made with locally produced ingredients. [Dinner] Please enjoy our proud kaiseki course meal, prepared with care using seasonal ingredients. [Breakfast] We offer a Japanese breakfast with the unique flavors of a ryokan. ■Hot springs (bathhouse/private bath) Hitoyoshi Onsen is a hot spring area blessed with rich nature such as the Kyushu Mountains and the Kuma River. Our hot springs are 100% natural hot springs, and are free-flowing from the source without heating or circulation, and are a weakly alkaline carbonated spring with a little salt. The clear, colorless spring water leaves your skin moist and smooth after bathing. You can enjoy the natural scenery that changes with the seasons, from the open-air bath to the autumn leaves and spring cherry blossoms. ■Facilities Our main building, separate hall building, living room building, and employee building are valuable wooden Japanese-style inns that tell the history of Hitoyoshi Onsen, and were registered as "Nationally Registered Tangible Cultural Properties" in 2013. Inside the building, which retains the appearance of the time when it was loved by many literary figures and important people, there is a romantic and extraordinary feeling that makes you feel like you have traveled back in time, and a calming atmosphere like your grandparents' house that you visited as a child.
