The inside of the building is very beautiful♪ This facility is located almost in the center of the Gokayama region, making it an ideal base for sightseeing in Gokayama. It is located just across the Shogawa River from the Murakami Family House, a nationally designated important cultural property that stands along National Route 156. The exile huts where serious criminals were kept when this area was an exile site for the Kaga Domain have been restored just below this facility. The two gassho villages of Ainokura and Suganuma, designated World Heritage sites, are about 6km away on either side of this facility. The traditional craft village of Washi no Sato is about 10km away. ★The legendary hot spring that springs from Ningyoyama, the New 100 Famous Mountains of Japan★ This hot spring has been used in Gokayama since ancient times. The legend of Ningyoyama was even broadcast in the Japanese Folk Tales. The hot spring is a simple spring that is gentle on the body, and from the open-air bath you can enjoy the seasonal nature of the mountains, such as fresh greenery, autumn leaves, and snowy scenery.
