Minshuku Sumiya

[Room Only Plan] This is a convenient room-only plan without meals. This is an old small inn located in Kawayu Onsen, where hot springs gush out, just a 10-minute drive from the World Heritage Kumano Kodo and Hongu Taisha Shrine. After walking the Kumano Kodo, relax and rejuvenate yourself in the natural river hot spring or the inn's hot spring. The river hot spring includes Yakushi-no-Yu, a permanent bath managed by all Kawayu inns, and a type where you dig into the riverbank to create your own open-air bath. Please try it to create unforgettable memories. The inn provides free rental shovels and other tools. Every year during the winter season, from December 1st to the end of February, the giant open-air bath 'Sennin Buro' opens in the river. It's a 10-minute bus ride to Hongu Taisha Shrine and Yunomine Onsen. The starting point for the Kogumotori-goe course at Ukegawa is 3km away. It's a 5-minute bus ride or a 30-minute walk. Because the Hongu area has few shops and restaurants, we recommend making reservations in advance or purchasing items at a shop beforehand. Alcoholic beverages from the BAR menu are available for purchase within the facility. A complimentary espresso machine is available in the lobby. A massage chair is also provided for your comfort. Nearest bus stop It is the Kameya-mae bus stop. It is a few meters from the bus stop.
