Tsuruya Ryokan is a luxurious traditional Japanese-style inn surrounded by graceful greenery. The inn is tastefully decorated with Showa-style furniture and has an overall relaxing atmosphere. The spacious guest rooms (available in both Japanese and Western style) are also relaxing and beautifully decorated. The inn has a gorgeous garden, a restaurant as well as a huge banquet halls. Tsuruya Ryokan is surrounded by elegant holiday villas, a great location from which to enjoy shopping and hiking. It is located on the historic shopping street, and is a 10 minute drive to Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza, one of the largest outlet malls in Japan. We also have many walking trails. Some guests enjoy Nakasendo walking, one of Japan's ancient highways from between Kyoto and Tokyo. It is around a 6 hour walk from Tsuruya Ryokan to Yokohama station
