Our building was originally a spinning factory of the Kurashiki spinning company, built in the 22nd year of the Meiji Era ( 1889 ), but was remodelled into a hotel in the 49th year of the Showa Period ( 1974 ). The hotel is an ivy-covered, red-brick building, located in the Kurashiki Bikan historical quarter, making it ideal for sightseeing. Brimming over with character, this building was acknowledged as part of Japan's Heritage of Industrial Modernization because of its great contribution to Japan's history of Industry.
