Located next to the Suwa Taisha Shimosha, it has been a bed for feudal lords and Princess Kazunomiya since the Edo period as part of the main inn of the post town, and since the Meiji period has been a popular inn for writers such as Ryunosuke Akutagawa and Toson Shimazaki.
