Shimo-Suwa-juku: A small hot spring inn with 9 rooms and a 300-year history - Basic Plan [Japanese breakfast] [Japanese dinner]

Located next to the Suwa Taisha Shimosha, it has been a bed for feudal lords and Princess Kazunomiya since the Edo period as part of the main inn of the post town, and since the Meiji period has been a popular inn for writers such as Ryunosuke Akutagawa and Toson Shimazaki. The forest and spring garden, built in the Momoyama period, allows you to enjoy the four seasons of Shinshu. ■ Dinner ■ "We want you to enjoy seasonal ingredients at their most delicious time" "Kameya's Seasonal Kaiseki" is served based on the chef's wish ■ Breakfast ■ Kameya's Asagozen Dining area Both dinner and breakfast are served at the venue. ■ Hot springs ■ ○Large bath 15:00-9:00 A mixture of the "sacred water" [Wata no Yu] and the "hottest water in Suwa" [Tanga no Yu] The water is added using groundwater of the same quality. Both men's and women's baths have open-air baths. *May be closed at night during winter. *No switching between men's and women's baths. ○Private baths 15:00-23:00/6:00-9:00 A private bath where you can enjoy the luxurious aroma of hot springs and cypress to yourself. The windows are paper screens, the outside is paved with white stones, and behind them is a bamboo wall with a gentle color. The bathroom is a "Japanese modern space" unified with the black of marble and the warm color of wood. We offer a high-quality "moment of peace and relaxation." Can be used by approximately 3-4 people. *Reservation required 1,500 yen (tax not included) for 45 minutes per session ■Salon "Jodan" The Jodan room, where Princess Kazunomiya and daimyo who were on alternate attendance tours stayed during the Edo period, has been renovated into a lounge that can be used by guests staying at the hotel. Please enjoy a relaxing time while looking out at the Rinsen Garden, which was built in the Momoyama period. You can enjoy free coffee, flavored tea, etc. Hours of operation: 15:00-18:00 *Children of elementary school age or younger are not permitted to use the salon. Thank you for your understanding.
