Congratulations! On December 28, 2021, "Sado Island Gold Mine" was selected as a candidate for World Heritage Site. We hope you will take this opportunity to visit Sado. Certified as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System (GIAHS) Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GAHS) is a system recognized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to recognize areas (agricultural, forestry and fishery systems) that practice traditional agriculture, forestry and fishery that are unique and have been passed down for generations while adapting to society and the environment, and that are closely related to and integrated with the culture, landscapes and seascapes, agricultural biodiversity, etc. that have been cultivated in this system. Sado Island has been selected as one of the top 100 sustainable tourist destinations in the world! ! Green Destinations, an international certification organization for sustainable tourism destinations, announced its 2021 "Top 100" at the Global Green Destinations Days event held on October 5, 2021 (local time). Green Destinations is one of the international certification organizations for the international indicators of sustainable tourism developed by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). It sets 100 criteria for sustainable destinations, and the "TOP 100" was selected based on reports submitted by tourism destinations on their efforts in particularly important areas of these. Japan was the top choice with 12 cities and regions selected. Kyoto City, Kamaishi City, and Niseko Town were selected for the second consecutive year, and Amami Oshima, Aso City, Nagara River Basin, Nanao City and Nakanoto Town, Nasushiobara City, Sado City, Shodoshima Town, Toyooka City, and Yoron Island were also selected. Limited time only! ! Get a great deal on your stay! We have prepared a very reasonable value plan for guests visiting Sado on business. This is a one-night plan with no meals included and is available for one person or more. Soothe your tired body after work in the alkaline hot springs of Sado Kamo Lake Onsen, which leaves your skin smooth and refreshed after a bath. We look forward to seeing you. Please note that the open-air rooftop bath is closed during the winter months from December to February due to strong winds.
