Guesthouse Obuse is a premium inn with only three rooms that makes use of an old house and storehouse that have been standing in the center of Obuse since the Edo period. During the Edo period, a man was fascinated by the local climate of Obuse, stayed there, and painted pictures every day. This man was Katsushika Hokusai, an artist who is said to be "the most famous Japanese person in the world." Guesthouse Obuse is located about a three-minute walk from Hokusai's studio. This is the building that watched over Hokusai as he took walks between creative sessions. Please relax and think of Hokusai. [Spring and Summer Fun] 1 hour by train or bus to Jigokudani Monkey Park, famous for its snow monkeys, or 40 minutes by car. 1 hour and 20 minutes by train or bus to Shiga Kogen, Ryuo, and Madarao Kogen ski resorts, or 50 minutes by car. □Check-in: 14:00~ / Check-out: 11:00 □Remote lock system Opening and closing the door is completed by pressing the number on the number key attached to the doorknob. No need to hand over the key. If you are unsure of how to check in and out or how to operate the number key, the staff will explain it to you carefully.
