Madarao Elm Pension

This plan includes room rates only. Please note that meals are not provided. At an altitude of 1000m, Madarao Kogen is cool in summer, and the breeze across the plateau is pleasant, so there is no need for air conditioning in the accommodation. From November to April, you can enjoy a comfortable stay with Swedish central heating. There is restaurant quarters in the center of Madarao Kogen, a 10-minute walk from the pension. In the green season, the pension is crowded with people trekking the "Shinetsu Trail 110km" and "Madarao Trail", and in winter, it is crowded with skiers enjoying Madapow, which Madarao is proud of. Throughout the year, there are many inbound customers from overseas, creating an international atmosphere. The pension holds concerts by the "Madarao Jazz" tribute band three times a year. You can also enjoy tastings of Nagano wine, cider, and sake.

This plan is for those who can't make it in time for dinner or who want to save on accommodation. Enjoy breakfast in the dining room overlooking the elm forest. Enjoy your meal while listening to the chirps of the birds that visit the elm forest. Flowers begin to bloom in the garden from May, and in early summer, Rengetsutsuji, Shirane-aoi, Hemerocallis nikkoensis, clusters of Oiwakagami, herbs, dogwoods, and more bloom one after another. Warm bread, all-you-can-drink special "Ginbura" coffee, ham, sausage, eggs, vegetables, and other yogurt desserts are included. Free refills of coffee and bread are available. The room is a standard twin room that can comfortably accommodate three people. The female owner will take care of you in a friendly atmosphere. There is a restaurant area in the center of Madarao, where you can enjoy your favorite dinner. The nearby hot spring "Madarao no Yu" has an open-air bath and welcomes many guests throughout the year. The "Madarao Activity Ticket" covers about 30 courses. We also recommend the 50km long "Madarao Trekking Course" and the "Shinetsu Trail" that starts from Mt. Madarao. The course includes Numanohara Marsh and Lake Nozomiko. Trekking through the virgin beech forest is especially fun. The best time to see the autumn leaves in the beech forest is from October 20th to early November. During the ski season, you can enjoy a comfortable ski holiday with central heating made in Sweden.
