1. Book your accommodation
- Make a booking on Rakuten Travel (https://travel.rakuten.com/) with a check-in date that falls within the campaign period (August 24, 2023–October 31, 2023). Existing bookings are also eligible if the check-in date falls within this period.
- The deadline to book your accommodation and apply for your eSIM is seven days before check-in. If the application is submitted after the deadline, we will not be able to deliver your eSIM.
- If your booking is canceled after your eSIM and activation QR code have been issued, your eSIM will be automatically deactivated.
2. Apply for your eSIM
- Submit your booking ID and the email address you used for your booking in the fields below.
- After we've confirmed that your booking is valid, we'll send an eSIM activation QR code to your email address 1–3 days before your check-in date.
- One eSIM will be issued for each room in your booking.
- Check the list below to confirm if your device is eSIM-compatible.
3. Activate your eSIM
- Activate your eSIM via the QR code and you're ready to go! With 7GB*, you'll have plenty of data for exploring Japan.
- After activation, your eSIM will be usable for 14 days.

Check-in period
The application deadline is 11:59 p.m. (JST) seven days prior to your check-in date (including the application date). Applications received after the deadline will not be valid.
