    Welcome to the Japanese Auberge! Relax and unwind in our standard rooms (Japanese-style rooms, futons) with open-air baths of natural hot spring water. The rooms, designed by first-class architect Saimon Toshifumi, who also participated in the design of the Kyoto State Guest House, retain a Japanese atmosphere and have been praised by guests for their relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Dinner is served in the restaurant or in your room. You can also have dinner in your room. Enjoy kaiseki cuisine made with seasonal ingredients and Kyoto vegetables. One of the few inns in the city that is certified as serving seasonal Kyoto vegetables. All dishes are cooked with spring water that is permitted for drinking, and the mellow flavor brings out the best in the ingredients. □■Breakfast ≪At the restaurant≫■□ A breakfast of Kyoto obanzai dishes is available. □■Hot Springs■□ The natural radium hot springs that spring from the naturally rich Mt. Hiei boast one of the highest radon contents in Japan, and the radon in the steam and the minerals in the water warm the body from the inside and out, activating the immune system. Both the open-air baths in the guest rooms and the large public baths are natural hot springs. The large public baths are open from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm. ■Notes■ *Smoking is prohibited throughout the hotel. There are no smoking areas. *Children must be in the upper grades of elementary school or older to use the facility. *In addition to the displayed price, a bathing tax of 150 yen is required per adult per night, as collected by Kyoto City.
