Nagayu Onsen Daimaru Ryokan

Fujikaro, an annex of the long-established Daimaru Ryokan, has been restored and reconstructed based on the original design from when the inn was founded in 1917, using an abundance of precious wood that is over 300 years old. Enjoy high-quality hot springs and cuisine in the atmosphere of a hot spring inn from that time, when many literary figures such as Yosano Tekkan and Akiko, Daisaragi Jiro, and Tokutomi Soho visited. □■Hot Springs ~ Main Building - Tei no Yu ~ The main building's hot spring, "Tei no Yu," was dug by the third-generation female innkeeper after receiving a prophecy in a dream. The water, which flows out at a nearly suitable temperature of 46.7°C, is rich in minerals. You can enjoy it at any time during your stay. *Open until 9am. ~ Private Bath - Midori no Yu ~ A small, cozy private bath like a teahouse, located inside Fujikaro and overlooking the Seri River. You can use it whenever it is available. ~ Ramune Onsenkan ~ The outdoor bath can be reached after a 5-minute stroll along the Seri River. The bubbly water, which Daibutsu Jiro described as "just like Ramune!" Although it is lukewarm at 31°C, the carbonic bubbles will warm you up from the tips of your fingers to your toes. *An additional bath fee of 150 yen will be charged. □■Food The bounty of the mountains, nurtured by the underground waters of the Kyushu Alps and Kuju Mountain Range. Enjoy the traditional and fragrant dishes of this long-established restaurant in a private room for breakfast and dinner, using local vegetables, Enoha (mountain trout) raised in clear streams, the local brand Bungo beef, and Kuju pork raised on herbs. The dishes are enhanced by the sophisticated luster of Takeda-yaki Rojingama pottery.
