This is a standard room only plan. The detached building maintains the charm of a 90-year-old Omi merchant's residence while incorporating modern amenities such as state-of-the-art appliances and floor heating, creating a comfortable environment despite being a traditional Japanese house. The guest room is equipped with an open-air bath and a mini kitchen, and from the veranda, you can enjoy views of a beautiful Japanese garden. This room is recommended for those who want to relax in a small group (up to 5 people). Stay exclusively in the main residence of a wealthy merchant, who was listed in the national ranking of affluent individuals during the Meiji era. The over 160-year-old two-story residence features an expansive Japanese garden, a large bath, a small bath, and a theater room. While the building has a simple exterior, the intricate craftsmanship throughout reflects a sense of luxury. Additionally, the traditional Japanese garden known as 'Donkanryu' is regarded as the best in the region, preserving excellent techniques in stone arrangements and stepping stones. Recommended not only for trips with families or friends spanning multiple households but also for business training trips.

[About Breakfast] Breakfast at the Tonomura Uhee Residence features a Japanese-style meal supervised by the Gokasho restaurant 'Kokarokkon'. The menu includes elements inspired by dishes that Omi merchants are said to have eaten on the day of their departure, allowing guests to experience the history of Omi. Enjoy Omi rice cooked in a clay pot and dishes made with seasonal local ingredients at your leisure in your room. [About the Facility] Gokasho Kondomachi is a place with deep connections to Omi merchants. The Tonomura Uhee Residence, with over 160 years of history, was originally the residence of a prominent Omi merchant. This building, cherished by the local community for generations, is carefully preserved and managed in a nationally designated Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings and is also recognized as a cultural property of Higashiomi City. Since 2022, it has been repurposed as an accommodation facility, welcoming guests from within and outside the region. The building features a simple exterior yet boasts a vast space with intricate and luxurious detailing in its craftsmanship.
