And Nissaka-juku, which retains the atmosphere of a post town from the Edo period along the Tōkaidō Fifty-Three Stations. Relax and immerse yourself in the quintessential scenery and lifestyle of old Japan at a traditional farmhouse inn, formerly a tea farmer's residence. Enjoy unique seasonal tea village experiences such as tea picking, tea factory tours, tea tasting, tea rolling workshops, and strolling through tea fields. In addition to tea-related activities, experience bamboo shoot digging and mountain vegetable picking in spring, firefly watching on early summer nights, refreshing shower climbing at waterfalls during the hot summer, chestnut gathering and persimmon harvesting in autumn, and cozy winter activities like roasting mochi on a brazier or enjoying a bonfire—allowing you to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and savor the slow pace of countryside living. (Includes one experience per night) Meals include a cooking experience where you can prepare dishes together with the host. For dinner, you can enjoy making Kakegawa's specialty 'Imo-jiru' soup with natural yam and tea-infused shabu-shabu. Additionally, if desired, we can arrange catered dishes from a local restaurant as extra meals (additional charges apply). For breakfast, we offer freshly cooked rice from a traditional pot, accompanied by thickly sliced dried mackerel landed at the local Mochimune port and homemade pickles, served as ochazuke (rice with tea). Enjoy unique countryside experiences that change with the seasons! For those interested, we offer transportation to and from Kakegawa or Kanaya Station. Three meals included! 24-hour stay!] Basic check-in at 12:00, stay until 12:00 the next day for 24 hours, includes a charcoal grilled BBQ lunch, three meals during your stay, and you can also enjoy the unique tea village experience with this special plan! In addition, the BBQ lunch can be changed to a picnic lunch at the top of Awagatake Mountain, where you can see Mt. Fuji on a clear day. We also recommend enjoying a hike of about an hour each way on a clear day!! We can also rent the entire building for an additional fee, so that you can spend your time alone except for meals and experiences. (Please apply at the time of reservation) Recommended for a reward trip where you can enjoy the tea village without any worries! For dinner and breakfast, we will provide catering from a popular local shop in Hizaka-juku. For dinner, you will have the opportunity to make potato soup using wild yam, a local Kakegawa specialty, followed by an authentic Japanese meal provided by a caterer, and for breakfast, you will enjoy popular bread from a bakery. If the scheduled caterer is unable to make arrangements, we will arrange for another caterer to prepare the food. If you wish, we can also provide transportation to Kakegawa or Kanaya Station.
